4 Things I Won’t Do Again In Pigeon Forge

Pigeon Forge The Island

Many families visit Pigeon Forge, Tennessee every year. It’s a popular tourist destination for a reason – there is so much to do and see in the area! However, after my most recent trip, I’ve decided there are four things I won’t do again. Keep reading to find out what they are!

Trolley Pigeon Forge is a must on your trip - don't forget

Forgetting to take the trolleys

I’m not sure what I was thinking when I forgot to take the trolleys in Pigeon Forge. Maybe I was just too excited to get to the pigeon forge and see all the sights. Or maybe I was just plain forgetful. Whatever the reason, forgetting to take the trolleys was a mistake I’ll never make again. The pigeon forge is a beautiful place, but it’s also very hilly. Walking up and down those hills can be tough, especially in the heat of summer. Taking the trolley would have saved me a lot of time and energy, and it would have allowed me to enjoy the pigeon forge even more. So if you’re ever in pigeon forge, don’t make the same mistake I did – be sure to take the trolley!

Worrying About Cell Service

Pigeon forge is a great place to visit, but one thing you should be aware of is that there is no good cell service. This can be inconvenient if you rely on your phone for directions or other important information. However, there are some ways to work around this issue. First, you can download any maps or additional information you need before leaving home. Additionally, many businesses in pigeon forge have WiFi available, so you can always connect to the internet when needed. One of the great benefits of this is to be unplugged and off your phone – so worrying about the cell service is something I will gladly not do again!

Stampede Dinner Show

Paying Full Price For Dolly Parton’s Stampede

Dolly Parton’s Stampede is one of the most popular shows in pigeon forge. The show features 32 horses and a cast of riders that perform tricks and stunts while riding. The show is set to country music and includes a four-course meal. I have been to the show several times and have always enjoyed it. However, I was shocked when I saw the price of tickets for the first time. Tickets are $50 per person, which I think is outrageous. I understand that the show is popular, but I believe that the price is too high. I will never pay the total cost for tickets again.

The Island Ferris Wheel

The Island in Pigeon Forge

The Island in Pigeon Forge is a 23-acre entertainment destination offering families affordable fun, both night and day. However, it’s an overrated tourist trap reminiscent of something you would find in Myrtle Beach or Daytona Beach; if you’re looking for something more authentic, then I recommend checking out local restaurants, dinner shows, etc. You can have a good time here, but it is definitely just retail geared at first-time tourists that don’t know any better. Downtown Gatlinburg offers more unique experiences that are cheaper and more exciting. For these reasons, it is best to avoid visiting The Island in Pigeon Forge.
