I won’t wait until the last minute to buy souvenirs – because many of the items at The Village shops are overpriced or can just add up quickly. Now I love going here to shop casually; however, if you’re scrambling to buy souvenirs at the last minute, this may not be your “best” option! I recommend visiting the shops at the beginning or the middle of your trip because there are numerous shops to check out, and you want to enjoy it all without rushing through and blowing a lot of money!
I won’t go to the Village Shops in Gatlinburg during peak tourist season again – it’s too crowded! It dampens the whole mood of the shops because you’ll be fighting to get around the crowds. Avoid mid-day, evening, and nighttime hours during peak tourist seasons. Especially around Summer, Fall, and Christmas, I recommend going first thing in the morning to beat the crowds!
I won’t ever again park in the “Parkway Parking Lot.” If you have to park here, try to always pay with cash. The number of issues of fraudulent charges on card payments is excessive. If you don’t mind a short walk, park elsewhere and avoid this troublesome parking lot altogether!
Even though I had a great time shopping at the Village Shops, I realized there are some things you should avoid if you want to save money. Make sure to call us and use our discounts before your next visit – we can help make your trip more affordable! And don’t forget to check out our blog for more tips on how to save while vacationing in Gatlinburg.
