However, here are three things that could dampen the mood of your Gatlinburg trip. These are 3 things I won’t do again at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort.
1. Forget to check for discounts or special offers.
Yes, it’s always a good idea to check for discounts or special offers when booking a vacation at a resort. We offer a wide range of discounts and special offers, including military discounts and early booking offers. Don’t do what I did my first time. 2. Assume the resort’s on-site activities are free.
I certainly won’t assume that the Wild Bear Falls Water Park is included ever again. Guess what? It’s not. There is a fee associated with some of the on-site activities at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort. These activities include the on-site water park, mini golf, horseback riding, and zip lining. All other activities, such as the fitness center, the arcade, and the movie theater, are free for guests. Before you book here, make sure you either get a vacation package with tickets included. If not, just be sure to do your research on the pricing.
3. Expect the same amenities from all room types.
The amenities vary from room type to room type at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort. Some rooms may offer amenities such as balconies or kitchens, while others may not. Additionally, the number of beds and bathrooms may vary depending on the room type. It is best to check with the resort directly to ensure you get the amenities you need. Additionally, something I won’t do again is trust third-party sites for their descriptions and images of the rooms. My first time, I booked a “suite,” and instead of accommodating 6 people as all suites do, it only had 2 beds with no pull-out. Follow up and call the resort to double-check what you booked.
