If you’re anything like us, food is a major part of your vacation! Lunch is a great time to head into town and visit some of the area’s excellent restaurants. To help you make the most of your next getaway, we have put together a guide to four of the best places to have lunch in Pigeon Forge.

1. The Old Mill Pottery House Cafe & Grille

Located across the street from The Old Mill, the Pottery House Cafe & Grille is famous for its scratch-made meals. All of the cafe’s sandwiches are served on house-baked bread made from the grist mill’s freshly ground flour. Even the restaurant’s plates, bowls, and salt shakers are made next door at The Old Mill Pigeon River Pottery. Standout items on the Pottery House’s lunch menu include the Signature Quiche, Fried Green Tomato BLT, French Onion Soup, Grilled Chicken Club, and, for dessert, Coconut Cream Pie.

2. Paula Deen’s The Bag Lady

When famous Southern chef Paula Deen was first starting out in Savannah, Georgia, she ran a popular lunch delivery service out of her kitchen called “The Bag Lady”. Today, The Bag Lady restaurant at The Island in Pigeon Forge serves the same delicious sandwiches, salads, and sweets that launched Deen’s career 28 years ago. Visitors can’t go wrong with Paula’s tuna melt, egg salad sandwich, pimento cheese sandwich, or turkey cobb salad.

3. Poynor’s Pommes Frites

Poynor’s Pommes Frites is another superb place to have lunch in Pigeon Forge TN. Also located at The Island, this fun restaurant specializes in German street food, such as bratwurst, pommes frites (Belgian-style french fries), and German chili. No trip to Poynor’s is complete without trying their “spaghetti ice”, a special type of ice cream sundae that looks like a plate of pasta with marinara sauce!
